Lauren Alligood

Lauren Alligood is a sophomore from Tewksbury, New Jersey, majoring in International Relations through the Joint Degree Program between William & Mary and the University of St. Andrews. Having spent a portion of her life living in Belgium and around the UK, her academic interests have evolved beyond IR to include foreign policy, global governance, and human rights. She is especially interested in how advancements in foreign policy can be used to aid genocide recognition and prevention on a global scale. On campus, she serves on William & Mary’s High School Model United Nations (WMHSMUN) Secretariat, as an ARC peer tutor, and as a member of Pi Beta Phi. She joined STAIR Lab in Fall 2024, aiming to further her understanding of the use of computational text analysis and the real-world applicability of academic research.
